I think flap-soled sneackers mean scraggly sneackers,dirty,and the inside is floppy.Dusty and smells.Maniac is more than a crazy person.they smash stuff,looney,and fighting someone.I don't think it will not fit. beacause i don't think he's fighiting but he did run away.I don't know what other name to use than maniac magee.
